North Gate Hotel

The hotel doesn't compete with the ruins. It listens to them.

North Gate Hotel is a conceptual hospitality project in Jerash, Jordan. The design is inspired by the historical memory of the site and the architectural identity of the surrounding archaeological context. The main concept is 'harmony with memory' — the hotel creates a calm architectural dialogue with the ruins through medium-height masses, visual axes, and spatial openness toward the archaeological landmarks. The project reinterprets local and Roman architectural elements using arches, rhythm, repetition, centrality, and the relationship between solid and void.
